The Gospel Network(TGN) exists for the proclamation of the gospel of Christ. From a Reformed perspective, we hope to see the glory of God revealed through faithful presentation of the gospel as revealed in Scripture.
In every generation, there are those who pervert the gospel for selfish gains. Our generation is no different. A form of Christianity not founded on the complete teachings of Scripture–Sola Scriptura, Scripture Alone–and a deviation from biblical Christianity has gained grounds across the world and in Ghana (Galatians 1:8, Romans 8:23, John 15:20, Hebrews 12:1-12, 2Corinthians 1:1-11).
This form of Christianity places man at the centre and God only exist to make us happy and comfortable, a far cry from the biblical teachings of man’s need of salvation from sin and reconciliation unto God. Sadly, multitudes have bought into this perverse gospel that promises a life of health and prosperity.
The Bible teaches that when Adam disobeyed God in the garden of Eden all of humankind were affected by his fall and all subsequently declared sinners–original sin— separated from God ( Romans 3:23, 5:12-21 ). However, God in His mercy and grace sent Jesus Christ into the world to be a propitiation for sin and to reconcile sinners to Himself. All who come to saving faith in Christ through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit are then justified by faith and reconciled to God (Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 53:5-6, Matthew 1:21, John 1:12-13, 3:16, Acts 4:12, Romans 3:24-25, Ephesians 2:1-10, 2 Corinthians 5:17-20). God through Christ Jesus’ death and resurrection is reconciling people from every tongue, tribe and nation to Himself.
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelations 7:9-10).
At TGN, we stand United For The Gospel and we hope our articles are a blessing to you.
